24” x 20” DredgeMasters Cutter Suction Dredge

The Port of New Orleans purchased this 24" x 20" Dredgemasters cutter suction dredge (Model HPC-20PR-M) in 1975. The non-portable dredge features welded hull construction and has been owned and operated by the Port until its recent decommissioning in 2010.

Main Dredge Pump: The pump is a DMI Model HDM 50-20, 24-inch suction, 20-inc h discharge, with 4 vane impeller. The HydraMaster pump is driven by the main diesel engines through a specially designed, ruggedly constructed, totally enclosed oil lubricated speed reduction gear. The main diesel engines and drive are arranged so that either or both engines can drive the dredge pump.

Kenner Marine 10" x 10" Sand Dredge and Two (2) skid mounted boosters

Vessel is non self propelled, hydraulic suction dredge vessel of welded steel construction with a square slotted bow/straight sides, square stern, flanged gunnel and bilge, flat deck and bottom, with superstructure. The hull is divided into one machinery, two fuel oil and void compartments made up from two longitudinal and six transverse watertight wing tank bulkheads. Vessel has internal frame construction, typical of this inland waterways dredging vessel. A steel framed ladder houses the hydraulic driven, Florida Machine 6-blade, 31" diameter cutter head unit and suction assembly at forward end.

Booster units are skid mounted on a steel beam, welded foundation and consist of a diesel engine driven dredge pump, outfitted with accessories to support its operation.

The dredge is currently being used every day at Woodmansie. It dredges to a 70 foot depth, is well maintained, the engine main was completely overhauled approximately one year ago. USED Bucket Ladder Dredge

The bucket ladder dredge is a 1986 IHC and is configured for the maximum digging depth of 25 Meters. The ladder is sectional, and can have a 10 meter section removed for shallower deposits. The dredge is comprised of 66 1.25 CY buckets on the ladder. The dredge is electric over hydraulic with a 600HP motor, and has a 6 line anchor configuration. The dredge was operated from 1986 until 2000. In 2000 the dredge was replaced and taken out of service, the unit was operational at that time. Used 8-Inch Moray Class Dredge

DSC's Moray is unique in that it offers a swinging ladder configuration along with an underwater dredge pump. The 8-Inch Moray is single truck transportable through most of the United States. We have seen success with the use of this dredge in industries such as: waterway maintenance, lake revitalization, aquaculture, environmental clean-up, and irrigation projects.
