We Provide Service After the Sale
We are committed to our customers
We value our customers and build strong relationships with them, while maintaining our commitment to meet or exceed their needs. Our equipment can only be as quality as we are and that's why we provide service after the sale. Whether you need dredge operator training, equipment maintenance, or our overall engineering expertise, contact DSC and we'll lead you in the right direction!
DSC's in-house Automation department designs custom packages that can be added to any dredge. Some of our dredge automation systems are: slurry control, auto flow control, production meter, flow meter, data recording, data transferring, GPS systems, and auto swing control. DSC offers automation packages for booster control, dredge and plant integration, remote data access, and any other custom design you may desire.
DSC's engineering department is capable of providing various services relative to dredging equipment and design. Our knowledgeable engineers design new equipment, as well as modify or retrofit existing equipment. Our team has experience designing hydraulic systems, machinery drive train systems (electric or diesel), and various rigging and mooring systems. Enhancements in computer technology allow our engineers to use 3D modeling software to more accurately portray their ideas throughout the design phase. We also offer dredge stability analysis and structural beam and finite element analysis to ensure our design meets or exceeds your expectations. With our commitment to success and drive for excellence, we are confident DSC can assist you with all your engineering needs!
The Field Service Operations represent a critical link to DSC and its customers. Often this is the only group to interact with customers face to face long after the sale. Whether across the street or across the globe, DSC’s Field Service Operations are ready and willing to get you back running and keep you running. The DSC field service department offers dredge maintenance training, dredge retrofits, dredge moves, and dredge fitness surveys. We do onsite surveys of your equipment with recommendations for equipment upgrades and improvements that will increase your throughput. With today’s market conditions and the economic challenges we all face, every dollar counts.
DSC offers Dredge Operator Training to those companies desiring to train their personnel, whether you own a DSC dredge or not. There are several ways DSC can tailor a training program to fulfill your individual needs.
For new DSC dredge purchasers, we offer a 2-day training course at our DSC facility, in addition to the onsite operational training at the time the dredge is launched. DSC customers merely pay for the transportation to DSC and lodging for their personnel. The preliminary agenda for this training includes a day of classroom-style training on the fundamentals of dredging, while the second day focuses on the various systems and maintenance recommendations of your new DSC dredge.
Each training class has a flexible agenda that can be changed from the standard format depending on the customer's individual needs. The training is tailored to fit your needs and questions are welcome during the class to ensure that all questions that arise during training are properly addressed.
Also, for new DSC dredge purchasers, DSC can also provide a 1-day, classroom-style operator training class at the customer’s location. The new customer is merely charged for the trainer’s actual travel expenses, such as airfare, lodging, car rental, and meals. This on-site training is performed in conjunction with our field service startup & testing to eliminate duplicate travel for other DSC personnel. The on-site classroom training would typically begin the day following the dredge launching, testing, and troubleshooting period, and followed by our standard on-the-job-training onboard your new dredge.
A one-day, classroom-style operator training class is available to any company desiring to train their personnel on dredge operational training, mine planning, determining dredging efficiency, and dredge maintenance. A complete list of the topics covered in this training class and fee information is available by contacting DSC's Executive Sales Administrator for pricing and scheduling.
