Florida Rock Dredge Designed for Shallow Digging

"Florida Rock Industries, Inc. took delivery of an 18" x 16" Diesel Marlin Class Dredge in March to mine sand in a <Maryland plant. DSC custom-designed the dredge for this plant, where the dredging depth will be initially about 10 feet, and eventually go to 50 feet. To accomplish this Dredging Supply Company included a ladder wedge insert near the cutter module of the 85-foot-long ladder, creating a down angled pitch to keep the cutter in the material and to prevent the ladder from dragging while dredging at shallow depths..."
