2011 Proves to be a Productive Year for DSC - Dredge Deliveries and Orders Exceed Previous Years
With the first quarter of 2011 behind us, DSC is proud to report that business has returned to what it was before the national recession. DSC has always found a sense of security in the backlog the company maintains and is thankful that it has returned to normal. With a name that has become globally recognized, the company continues to expand and is looking to exceed previous annual profits.

COLOMBIAN ELECTRIC COMPANY DREDGES FOR MORE POWER
CHEC PURCHASES 10” WOLVERINE FROM DSC DREDGE LLC
Last week DSC Dredge LLC welcomed two guests from Colombia, Nestor Fabio Osorio of Buceo Industrail y Dragados de Urabá, S.A.S and Julian Lopez Palacio of CHEC. Both visited the company to inspect CHEC’s newly purchased 10” Wolverine class dredge, which will be used in an upcoming environmental dredging project. As a subsidiary of EPM, a nationwide company that provides public services such as phone, water, and electricity, CHEC focuses on providing electrical power to its customers.

REPS OF BASHUNDHARA GROUP FROM BANGLADESH VISIT U.S. - GUESTS WITNESS TRIAL TESTING OF USA-MADE DREDGING EQUIPMENT
DSC Dredge LLC, a U.S. dredge manufacturer, welcomed Mr. Md. Fakhruddin (Executive Director) and Mr. Mohammed Ismail (Senior General Manager) representing Bashundhara Dredging Company Limited, as they visited the manufacturing facility this week to inspect the progress of their newly purchased dredging equipment. Bashundhara Dredging Company Limited, a subsidiary of world-famous Bashundhara Group, purchased two 24” x 24” Dual Pump Marlin Class dredges and a 40’ multipurpose workboat from DSC earlier this year. The contract signing ceremony was witnessed by U.S. Embassy officials in Dhaka.

CULTURAL EXCHANGE - DSC’S CULTURE CONSTANTLY EVOLVES WITH GLOBAL EXPANSION
DSC Dredge LLC, a leading U.S. dredge manufacturer, is excited to announce the recent delivery of several dredges to international customers. With DSC equipment in more countries than ever, the company is not only expanding worldwide, but is also evolving its own culture. DSC’s W&S Division is scheduled to deliver its fifth dredge to India later this month. Among the five dredges are two 8-inch Badgers and three 10-inch Wolverines, which are being operated by a dredge contractor for canal and lake restoration projects funded by the Indian Government.

Port of new orleans Christens New Dredge
Patricia Karst Reed honored her late husband, former Port of New Orleans Executive Director Edward S. “Ned” Reed, by christening the Port’s new dredge that bears his name today. The dredge is the third owned by the Board of Commissioners of the Port of New Orleans in its history and replaces the A. Robert Bleakley, a cutter head dredge in service since 1976. New Orleans and Portland, Ore. are the only two major U.S. ports which own and operate their own dredges.

SALES CLIMB TO RECORD HIGHS
GLOBAL EXPANSION PUTS DSC IN MORE COUNTRIES THAN EVER IN COMPANY’S HISTORY
DSC Dredge LLC, a U.S. dredge manufacturer, reports an increase in overall sales just two months after the company consolidated its subsidiaries including, Dredging Supply Company, Inc., Best Equipment, and W&S Dredge Manufacturer. After a sluggish start in 2010, the company has greatly increased production with exports making up the majority of backlogged sales. Within the first two quarters of 2010, the company has successfully exported, delivered, and commissioned 18 projects worldwide. Giving that 2010 is only halfway through, the company expects to exceed last year’s performance in both number of projects completed and revenues.

DSC CONSOLIDATES SUBSIDIARIES
Dredging Supply Company, Inc., as the public knows the company, will now operate under a parent company, DSC Dredge LLC as a result of a recent corporate consolidation. Prior to the merger, the company was affiliated with many subsidiaries, all focusing on manufacturing and servicing dredges, support equipment, and parts. DSC Dredge LLC was created as an umbrella company to encompass all the sub-companies, including Dredging Supply Company, Inc., Best Equipment, M&S Equipment, Better Dredges, Inc., W&S Dredge Manufacturer, Reliable Gulf South LLC, Dredge Surplus, and Dragados Sud-America (DSA).
